Blink. is a musical collective steeped in the concept of free improvisation mixed with compositional approaches to music, utilizing an arsenal of styles and themes in their pieces. The band came together in the fall of 2006, with the purpose of melding all these ideas into a set of original pieces that is sure to be a stimulating listening experience for anyone interested in new ideas in music, improvisation and themes. They have performed in venues spanning North America, Asia, Europe, Africa, and South America. Their compositions have also been commissioned and performed by the International Contemporary Ensemble , and also by the Peoria Ballet Company, and they have received awards from tjhe Illinois Arts Council.
