Amazon.com If you were challenged to name five rock albums that epitomized the '70s, Frampton Comes Alive! should probably top the list. Former Humble Pie guitarist Peter Frampton recorded a few perfectly fine albums with his band Frampton's Camel, but it wasn't until some of those tracks were recorded at a live performance in San Francisco and released as Frampton Comes Alive! that he became a household name. Buoyant pop, sentimental ballads, arena rock--this album has it all. The double-LP package set sales records and contained three bona fide radio hits ("Baby, I Love Your Way," "Show Me the Way," and "Do You Feel Like We Do?"), one of which, shockingly enough, was over 14 minutes long. No wonder that, to many, the two-and-a-half-minute songs of the Damned and the Sex Pistols felt like a breath of fresh air a year or two later. --Lorry Fleming

Rocks With the Best January 6, 2009 When this album came out, it was an "album"--33 1/3 black vinyl "in the round" and it was unconquerable!!! Nothing has changed. No matter the format, this album is a classic, from 1975 when it was first released, to present day--quality that cannot change. Frampton at his absolute best! Rock at its finest! Peter Frampton was probably the first to pioneer the use of the "Talk Box" which is still in use by top singers. I had the ultimate pleasure to see him in concert in the glory days and he was every bit as fantastic in the flesh as on the vinyl! Quality that never loses it flavor.
Classic November 23, 2008 This stands the test of time and is truly one if not the best live album ever made. With a mix of the overall genre of Rock music Frampton captures the mood of the seventy's perfectly. His use of the voice box and the guitar solos is forever captured when he was at his prime with this record. What can i say, I love it!
Absolutely Felt Ripped Off November 16, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
All that was sent was Volume 2, which meant I did not get the first side of the album (Baby I Love Your Way, side one, was what my wife wanted). No follow up by seller at all and Amazon just said they were sorry. My first bad experience with Amazon, but it truly stunk -
takes me back! August 27, 2008 I love it now just as I loved it then. Sounds great and the price was right!
