5 out of 5 stars What If We   January 6, 2009
Oh my God this album is wonderful! Brandon Heath is truly a very talented musician. His music speaks to all of us because it's about daily life and living. Make no mistake, Heath's music is Godly. He talks about seeing with God's eyes, he expresses what love is, the greatness of Christ and more. He also, though, talks about needing a Sunrise. How many of us have needed one of those? I can't stop playing this latest release of his. It's soothing and comforting. It's definitely worth every penny!

5 out of 5 stars A Powerul Prayer and Song in one!!!   December 9, 2008
This is one of the best christian music i heard, i believe everybody should include this as a prayer that if only the Lord will lend His eyes to us so we may see others and ourselves in the light He sees us then we will never be the same person again and pay more attention beyond the facade we see around us, if only we can have the eyes, heart and love of Christ to our fellow men and self then the value of humanity and life will never be measured by any standard for this will be beyond what our human understanding can comprehend, what a wonderful song it is to sing to the Lord to ask for His eyes even just for a day so we can look at things differently especially when someone is going through tough times or surrounded by people who needed love and understanding the most. Praise be to God!

5 out of 5 stars What If Everyone Made Music Like This?   November 12, 2008

Brandon Heath's light, familiar style is on display on this album. Heath's strength is combining poppy tunes with deep lyrics. "What If We" is a prime example of this talent.

In "Give Me Your Eyes" Heath asks God for the vision to see those around him, including the downtrodden, poor, and brokenhearted. It is the lead single from the album, and is a refreshing break from "me" centered Christianity. "Wait and See" is a little biographical, with Heath reminding himself that God has a plan for his life. "Trust You" is especially revealing, describing all of our reasons for not trusting God. It is honest to the core: "Are you growing weary/of all my good intentions/'cause I know that/you don't work that way." "Sore Eyes" sounds like the Monkees converted to Christianity, but is deep and meaningful. "Love Never Fails" is a beautiful acoustic track stacked with violins.

This is a great album. It has depth and soul without being sappy. You can almost feel Heath's self-deprecating humor seep through the tracks. I recommend buying this CD.
