 BEWARE - DO NOT BUY March 25, 2008

TV was received on 2/15/2008 and promptly would not turn on 20 days later - 3/6/2008. Amazon would not help as they used Electronic Express for the sale, so they were worthless. Electronic Express would only help for the first 15 days, so I was left working through Sylvania. Their customer service is far from service. I have now called 4 times with little to zero progress and the TV sits on the floor. The unit will not power on at all. It tries to come on but fails to do so. BEWARE of unit, BEWARE of Electronic Express and BEWARE of buying from Amazon. Go to your local store. It pays in the long run!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

I ordered the TV unit, that was offered by Electronic Express, through amazon.com
* Transaction though Amazon went fine.
* Communication with seller was good (e-mail exchange)
* Delivery went fine and actually faster than expected - Electronic Express used FedEx
* When recieved unit, was in original box and in perfect condition
The prodcut itself (image quality, features)actually surpassed my expectations: I was not very familiar with the Sylvania brand at all but I needed a 37in built-in DVD TV and that was the only prodcut available on the market at that time.
Now let's see down the road, how the TV and the DVD will stand the use in the long run.

The TV that I ordered was exactly as described. It also arrived on a timely basis, even though it was Christmas!

We specifically ordered the Sylvania 37" LCD unit because it has an integrated front loading CD/DVD player. My elderly in-laws (mid 80s) have never been able to master the sequence of remote buttons to get from cable to DVD and back. So the DVD unit we got them several years ago was collecting dust.
Now they can. It is as easy as inserting a DVD or CD. Eject the CD or DVD and it is right back to cable TV. So the folks listened to CDs of Christmas carols this year and watched Broadway shows and old war movies on DVD.
They are also thrilled with the HD picture. It is sharp, bright and has vibrant colors. Overall I give the unit high marks with good quality video and audio. With free shipping we received the unit 3 days after ordering it so we were also very impressed by the merchant's handling of the order.

Unit lasted exactly 98 days. Unit now completely inactive. Service repair a joke... they need 3 months to handle the repair.
