Satisfied Customer August 18, 2005 Just wanted you to know that i'm very pleased with my portable hand held tv. Its been around water, vibrations, the elements to a certain degree. I use it almost every day, i've enjoyed my tv for about a year and half now. Once i had the polarity crossed up and lost my screen. But the people their at action took care of the problem. If i were to buy another portable tv, i would proberly buy this one all over again. I forgot to mention that whenever my family and i go on vacations, we always carry it with us, we've played movies with it, it has the a/v jacks, i really like that part a lot. I'm sure if you are looking for a small tv this is what you are looking for, you just can't beat the price, i tried.... Have a great, and Safe week.
Great for emergencies! September 27, 2004 I bought this tv as part of my "hurricane supplies" and was pleasantly surprised because initially, I was very suspicious since I'd never heard of the company and was leaning towards a casio. It has a clear picture, the sound is good, and it worked fine for the entire time I was without power. I think it is an excellent value.
Absolute JUNK!!! September 5, 2004 2 out of 9 found this review helpful
I purchased this tv with the hopes of having it as a back-up for a hurricane. I lost cable and began using it. The reception was terrible, but I was at least getting 2 stations. I just now went to use it again a few hours later and it is already broken. Aside from having terrible reception when it does work, it is also a worthless piece of junk Do yourself a favor and buy a better tv...one that actually works.
Great Value in a Handheld TV August 20, 2004 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
My comments are based on only one day of owning, but so far it appears to be comparable or better than any of the 2.5 in. handhelds on the market, for a very fair price. I knew nothing about this brand before, but they appear to be more or less dedicated to producing portable tvs and that shows in this model. The screen is of the latest active TFT design, not the less vibrant passive matrix design in the older handhelds. The screen, according to the packaging, is now at over 112000 dots which is amongst the highest resolution of any other handhelds. Picture quality is of course dependent on the signal strength, but with a good signal the picture is very watchable and even small print (e.g. stock tickers) are very readable. Color is good with a strong signal and the sound is very clear. Alkaline batteries seem to last for about 4 hours of continuos usage which is also in line with the current crop of portables. A car cord or ac adapter is a good idea for extended viewing with access to power. For its intended purpose as a tv on the go it seems well suited. As far as long term reliability, I can't yet say. Nevertheless, if you're looking for a small handheld tv to supplement your recreation, this seems like a good choice, especially for its price.
