Product Description Perfect condition!!! I am selling the 50" sxrd sony 1080p HDTV that this stand is made for. Under the listing of model kds-50a2000 is the tv I have up for sale. Under the listing of the tv for sale, the price posted is for the tv, this stand, and sony's five year warranty which has right at 4 years left. Incredible price for all three, but will sale the stand by itself if need be, or vice versa....

Perfect stand for the TV, but no fun to assemble! March 8, 2007 J. Rose (Littleton, CO United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This stand comes in a box with an extensive assortment of styrofoam and cardboard pieces. DON'T THROW THEM AWAY! Not until you have assembled the stand, because every single piece is used at different times to prop certain pieces up. Putting this thing together was a lot more complicated than I expected. Now that it is done, though, it looks great, and I have no doubts about it's stability.
Great stand for a Great TV! April 26, 2007 Z. Snyder (Seattle, WA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I recently purchased the Sony 50A2000 television and, after much consideration I decided to purchase the matching stand. I have to admit: Sony has impressed me again.
I'll concede that the price seems a little high for something to set your TV on, but the attention to detail is impressive. The top of the stand includes a silver piece that makes the television appear to be slightly floating, hiding the base of the TV. The back of the stand also includes channels to hide your cables in--and they line up perfectly with the TV's outputs. Every aspect of the stand was designed with safety in mind; I can't see any way you could accidentally pull the TV off. It's firmly attached. Sony also put a great deal of thought in to the packaging of this thing! Not only was every piece meticulously wrapped and packed, but they engineered the packing such that the pieces could be used to ease the assembly (frankly, without the packaging it would have been a challenge to put together by myself).
I have to disagree with one of the other reviews; I found the instructions extremely easy to follow and there weren't very many pieces. I have put together other furniture before, this really was a snap.
The bottom line: if you've dropped the cash for a TV like the KDS-50A2000 (and presumably some decent HD components), don't cheap out when it comes to where to put your new gadget. Do it right and get this stand.
TV stand for Sony 50a2020 HDTV August 26, 2007 Thomas M. Edwards (Bertram, TX) This is a great stand. It is very well made with all holes aligning perfectly. There are two glass shelves to hold your DVD player and satellite
receiver etc. It uses large long bolts to hold the main weight bearing pieces together. It is nicely finished with no sharp edges. The only problem I see is the lower glass shelve protrudes a couple inches in front of the stand. Although the corners are round, it would be possible for a child to step on the corner of the glass and perhaps break it.
Nice stand; a little pricey September 28, 2006 G. Smith (Orange County, CA USA) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
Great stand for the 50A2000 (and most likely its successor). Sturdy, with clamping mechanisms front and back for the TV. Huge, heavy package. Assembly required, but it was pretty easy. Shelf height is not adjustable, so you may run into trouble stacking components. I have a Kenwood surround sound receiver on the bottom shelf and the Toshiba HD-A1 (HD DVD player) and a Liteon PVR side by side on the top shelf.
Worthwhile purchase... February 19, 2007 SaGE 99 (California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I like the fact that the TV is securely attached to the stand to prevent the TV from sliding off during and earthquake (I live in CA) or from falling on any toddlers. Assembly was not too difficult, it took me a little over a half an hour to finish putting it together. There are only two shelves. The bottom shelf has enough room for me to set my receiver (HT-DDW900) on it. The receiver sits about 6.5" high. I have set my DVD/VCR combo on the top shelf. In addition to the two components I have sitting on the shelves, there is a little bit of room to set small speakers on each side of the shelf. It would be nice to have an additional shelf or about four more inches on the top shelf to set the center speaker for my surround sound on top of my DVD player - but I have settled with attaching the speaker to the top of my TV with some strong velcro.
All in all I am happy with the purchase. FYI, I purchased this product along with the TV at [...]. My experience with them was great. I was able to save $500 on the combined purchase which I made on "Cyber Monday" following Thanksgiving. Although I did not purchase this product from Amazon.com, I would not have hesitated to do so if they would have had a better price at the time of my purchase. My exeriences with Amazon.com have been great.
