Chances are good that if you are reading this listing, you recently purchased a Sirius / XM radio and the transmission quality to your FM radio is horrible. Why is that? Simple. Early in 2006, the FCC passed a law that forced the manufacturers of satellite radios to reduce their transmission output by over 50%. If you have an older Sirius radio made a few years ago, the transmission quality is actually better than the new one that you may have just spent up to $400 for.
These transmitters run on DC power. This means you can plug one end into your lighter, the other firmly into your "Audio Out" port, turn off your radio's FM transmitter (via the menu options) then choose one of four FM frequencies.
That's it. The quality is a near flawless. A significant improvement will be heard.
