The AV-27F803's 4 MHz, 10-bit digital 3D Y/C comb filter further enhances resolution by removing blurred edges between colors and reducing dot crawl (tiny, moving dots of color along a sharp color separation in a vertical line, as in a depiction of a character's striped t-shirt). Also featured is an apacon circuit, which enhances picture sharpness.

The set gives you stereo audio with five watts power per channel. Hyper Surround simulates surround sound from any stereo signal, while BBE High-Definition Sound improves speech intelligibility and restores the dynamic range of compressed musical passages.

A pair of component-video inputs grant optimum connection with a compatible DVD player, satellite receiver, or game console, while standard composite- and S-video inputs accommodate all DVD players. You can choose between two sets of rear AV inputs and a set of front AV inputs for convenient camcorder and gaming hookups. Return+ lets you return to a channel via the 10-key pad with regular return, or you can program a "Return Channel" to be returned to after sequentially scanning the channels.
