Fabulous TV!! October 6, 2008
I received my TV on Sept. 26. I cannot say one negative thing about the TV or the remote that some people have found to be troublesome. The picture is just amazing, the sound is great. I was going to purchase the 46" 550 series but backed off due to comments regarding the sound. Glad I went for the extra $$$ for the 650 series. The delivery from CEVA was not as great. They showed up as scheduled and brought the TV in and set it up in no time, but between them hooking it up wrong and the HD cable box not working correctly, I was not able to get HDTV until Saturday which required a visit from my cable company. It was clear that the delivery guys, though nice, were in a rush to get out and move on. I felt they were more concerned about making sure they got a gratuity, than making sure the TV was set up properly. All in all, this was a good experience. If you go this route just make sure your TV is up and running before the delivery guys leave your house.

Have had the Samsung LCD for over a month & very satisfied with all aspects.
What surprised me the most was the delivery from Amazon & set-up of the television ! I was expecting a UPS guy to just drop a box off. Instead a private delivery contractor came and even connected the TV & made sure everthing was working, before I signed. The box & packaging materials were even taken away (was offered option to keep in case I needed to return).
Ordering through Amazon was great !

Great product at a great price! Only downfall is that Amazon has dropped their price daily on this, I purchased a month ago and price has dropped on this almost $200.

Yes the TV is very good. The audio is very good. The remote is deficient. If you wan't 7.1 surround sound I recomend a Pioneer amp and a thousand dollars worth of speakers plus a powered Velodyne subwoofer, obviously the two speaker / amp combinations can't be compared. Tonight I was advised by Amazon to return my LN46A650 and then to buy a new one instead of honoring the 30 day price guarantee. Thats alot of trouble for $30.90. My tv was purchased on 9/9/2008. I also really like the VMAA26 full motion mount.

Delivery service is great. TV is unreal. I had the 550 for 2 weeks and decided to return it for the 650. WOW. There really is a huge difference- the 120hz & 4ms response combined with the AMP (auto-motion plus) make the picture sooooo much better. The AMP can be turned off/on or set to low/med/high. It's really great for sports and nature shows (like documentaries- Planet Earth, or Survivor), makes regular sitcoms, etc. seem kind of "soap opera-like." It almost looks too real, scary. But if you don't like this effect (which I really do) its easily turned off. Please do yourself a favor and spend the extra few $$$ and go for the 650 over the 550, it's more than worth it and am so happy I made that decision. The glossy screen looks amazing and not sure why people complain about it. Only glare that comes is when the TV is off, and I don't watch it when it's off so who cares. Buy some blinds if glare is a problem. The Touch of Color red effect is barely noticeable, it seems more prevalent in the pictures on here than in actual life. Looks good IMO, and seems more state of the art than the 550 edge.
