Along with a digital comb filter (which separates the color signals to minimize dot crawl and blurred edges), dynamic black level expansion and a white peak limiter features work to deliver a crisp, clear picture. Choose the mode (Standard/Dynamic/Movie/Custom) that best suits the program you're watching. It has a number of convenience features, including Remote Surf timer (returns TV to original channel so other channels can be browsed during commercial breaks), sleep timer, V-chip, on-screen menus, auto channel programming, channel labels. It features two built-in, 2.5-watt speakers and stereo output for connection to a home theater audio system. The MTS stereo sound system can play SAP (Secondary Audio Program) audio whenever a broadcast or recording includes a secondary language track. The Auto Volume Leveler feature keeps audio volume consistent during channel changing to minimize static sound bursts. This is superb little television its color quailty and sound clarity are not the best but if you are looking at this TV you are really not trying to look for best you just don't want the worst right First off this TV has every connection one would need for traditional analog connections this means it supports cable, s-video, multible RCA(or Stereo), and componet it claims to be a flat screen this is true to a point which means the screen that is on the outside is a flat peice of glass or heavy pvc plastic the screen underneath this is curved just as an old crt TV would be but it does have a bennefit of producing a much sharper image that a convex crt TV could not produce because they use this glass trick. This TV does have some sound issues when you use the built in speakers which apear to be attached as a design element but when you have a TV with componet connections to play a good dvd to really get the sound you want it is a must to combine this with a sterero system ether a little desktop 2.1 system or a monster 7.1 blow the walls out stereo system( note if you going to get stereo system to compliment this the desktops will do just fine if use a big 7.1 you will probelly want a bigger TV)! Add all this up and makes a great buy at an exceptional value.

we needed a larger tv than what we had in our bedroom, got a x-mas present of $100.oo @ amazon,cool. thought about getting a cheap 99 special of a no-name brand, but i saw and knew about the dynaflat screen in the past and remembered it as being a pretty good tv. So thankful we did, the tv is great, really clear and bright. paid an extra $60 but I feel it's was the way to go. Think about it, tvs stay in the family for years $60 more is hardly anything over time. Never buy the cheapest, don't buy top of the line, just be smart and not in a hurry. Thanks

Definitely comparable to items priced a lot more (I got this for about $160, and that included shipping and everything). Very nice picture quality, the screen is fantastic. I personally can't tell any difference between this and a regular flastscreen. Takes some room since it is a CRT, and I have so far been able to get it to give me captions only upon muting the sound (i.e. I either get captions all the time, or never) but I haven't even opened the manual. It's that easy to use - I plugged it in and it's been working great. No problems with sound, but it is a small bedroom, not an ampitheater. Looks sleek and very nice, and you gotta love the side-AV inputs (the front becomes all that much cleaner). Overall, I'm very satisfied with the purchase. I wouldn't mind a slightly faster response time to the remote. Changing inputs is a breeze, the picture quality is very nice (better than any CRT I've seen in this range/size). I've been using a cable box, a dvd player and an xbox and the tv has never given me any problem thus far.
Very easy to change display settings, and I found the presets were perfect although I did play around to see the range it offered. No complaints.

I recently saw this TV at Circuit City for $299 and was impressed for the quality of its picture. I did not notice that much difference between this tV and the other plasma TVs that were on display. I end up buying it at amazon.com because it was almost 50% off! I have read in other places that some people are having problems with the speakers of this TV. I connected mine to my Home Theater so basically, the TV's speakers are redundant. I am very happy with my purchase.
