Amazon.com Product Description The Sony Trinitron KV13FS100 WEGA television is completely flat vertically and horizontally, which provides a sharp three-dimensional picture that's virtually distortion free. This 13-inch set is a great choice for use in the kitchen or your vacation cabin. It features a 4:3 aspect ratio, a three-line digital comb filter (usually found on higher-end models), and a component-video input. Sony's three-line digital comb filter compares consecutive horizontal scanning lines within a video frame and uses digital circuitry to make adjustments, providing outstanding picture quality with sharp, crisp edges, while virtually eliminating dot crawl. The KV13FS100 also features a dynamic picture processor, which maintains image detail in very bright and dark areas of each scene. The built-in stereo speakers are positioned on the side and produce 3 watts of power apiece. The KV13FS100 has an component-video input (rear), 1 RF input (rear), 2 A/V inputs (1 front, 1 rear), and a headphone jack. What's in the Box KV13FS100 13-inch TV, remote control (RM-Y173), 2 AA batteries, and printed operating instructions.
Product Description Sony KV13FS100 13" Flat Screen Television - Big screen television sets are great, but not in every room of the house. The kitchen for example, can probably hold a television about the size of the Sony KV13FS100. At 13" it'll fit perfectly. The best part is that you maintain a high quality picture, even at a smaller size, using Sony's flat FD Trinitron(R) picture tube with a 3-Line Digital Comb Filter Caption Vision (CC) On-Screen Display V-Chip Parental Control 3-Line Digital Comb Filter Front A/V Input Headphone Jack Composite Input - 1 Rear RF Input - 1 Rear Monitor Out Includes the RM-Y173S Remote Control Color - Silver Dimensions - 16 (w) x 13 3/8 (h) x 16 1/8 (d)

Beautiful Picture, Good Sound, Excellent Deal July 25, 2004 Robert B Rogers (Alexandria, VA USA) 24 out of 24 found this review helpful
This television has a beaufiful picuture. I recently bought and then sold a newer, larger television, because the picture quality was much better on this smaller set. (perceived picture quality always decreases as size increases, but the quality delta of the new set was just too great).
Sound quality is good, not great, but it is a small set.
I watch dvd's a lot and this has component video in - which is a must have in my opinion.
Also, remote control is smaller and easier to use than other models.
A Sweet Little TV! July 18, 2004 23 out of 23 found this review helpful
If you are looking for a great little TV with an awesome picture and excellent sound, this is it! The picture is incredibly sharp with terrific color. The speakers offer high quality stereo sound and hold up even when the volume is cranked. I also really love the wide variety of menu options available from color, to your favorite channel selections, to tilt correction. I especially like the XDS feature that allows you to see what program is on and the time remaining just by clicking the display button. The remote is small and simple which I find very convenient. Lastly, it was very easy to set up and program. It took just a couple of minutes and I was watching my favorite shows. I compared this to a Toshiba 14" 14AF44 as well as other leading brand 13" and 14" TV's. The Toshiba's picture quality was no where near as sharp as the Sony's nor did it have the color quality. The sound in the Toshiba was also not as crisp. In addition, the Toshiba had a remote that looked like it could operate a space station - talk about overkill! The other leading brands were not even contenders b/c the picture quality and sound could not compare to the Sony. The only negative thing I can say about the Sony is that it was definitely the most expensive TV of all the ones that I reviewed. For example, it was about $50.00 more than the Toshiba. However, I am extremely happy with my Sony and I feel it was definitely worth the extra money!
Great little TV! March 13, 2006 D. Yang (New York, NY) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I needed a small TV for my bedroom and this Sony delivered on all fronts. The picture quality is outstanding - crisp and vivid, without any of the artificial edge-enhancement on found on many analog televisions that I find so distracting. I went to a brick-and-mortar electronics retail chain to scout out small TVs, but kept coming back to the Sony because of the picture quality. It's certainly a fair deal more expensive than other TVs of similar size, but you do seem to get what you pay for.
Inputs are plentiful, including a component input on the back, which is surprising on such a small set. There's a channel labeling option so you can name your stations and a favorites button that lets you quickly surf to any of five preset channels, making channel surfing a breeze. Pushing and holding the channel up or down button will speed through channels in the direction of your choice. It's also pretty trivial to adjust picture and color temperature to your liking; the menus are easy to navigate, unlike a lot of other cheaper sets I tried out. Sound easily fills a small room, but of course isn't concert quality or anything.
Finally, the remote is nicely sized and idiot-proof. It'll take you all of a minute to get used to it. I'm not sure if this will matter to anyone, but the remote is wider at the bottom, which allows it to stand upright on a nightstand or desk. Styling is subjective, but I think the Sony looks pretty good compared to its competition. This is an inexpensive TV that doesn't look cheap. The only feature that's missing is auto closed-captioning when the TV is muted, but this isn't a deal breaker in my mind. Until all our signals are pristine, digital HDTV quality, we'll have to live with the analog signals we get. I'm happy to say that this TV handles the latter really, really well.
Last of a great dying breed! August 7, 2006 David M. Moser (Clemson,So.Car. USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This 13 inch Sony has a top quality picture with OK sound.Got the last one at Circuit City for 99$.Salesman said they (Sony) is just about to get out of the CRT TV business. What a shame. These Sony's have a great picture that is even better than my 36 inch JVC.DVD,Digital Cable, and even better on a dish.Keep making a sweep of the BB's and CC's just in case they have another one for that price I'll grab it up just to have a spare.Great things do come in small packages!Best picture on any 13 inch i've seen in my years of TV buying.
Nice little TV February 18, 2009 Mike T. Waters (Los Angeles, CA. USA!) I pulled this TV out from the kitchen when my 36" XBR Wega took a dump, second time in two years, I hooked up the three line componet cables and wow! what a picture! the set is not an HDTV but with the component lines its very GOOD, I just hope it will last a bit longer than the 36 inch set,Over all a "Nice little TV"
