Product Description Toshiba's 32A60 is a 32-inch TV with a high-contrast picture tube and a 3-line digital comb filter. It also sports a wideband video amplifier, a black-level expander and selectable color temperature. The dual-tuner picture-in-picture (PIP) function even lets you view six channels at once. The 32A60 offers a number of connectivity options, including a set of component video inputs, which are ideal for hookup to similarly equipped DVD players. There's also an S-video input, two A/V inputs and one set of A/V outputs. You can label the video inputs according to the connected devices. A video lock feature, meanwhile, lets you prevent usage of any connected components, which is a good way to keep the kiddies from playing video games. This TV includes an MTS stereo/SAP tuner. Its front-firing speakers are driven by five watts of power per channel. The speakers can also simulate surround sound. The 32A60 also has several convenience features, including closed captioning, channel lock and timer shutoff. The supplied universal remote control glows in the dark.
Amazon.com Product Description With a 32-inch, high-contrast screen, the Toshiba 32A60 retains an image's richness and contrast even under bright lights. The 750-line resolution and three-line digital comb filter also contribute to finer detail and brighter colors. The 32A60's picture-in-picture permits viewing of two channels simultaneously, and a six-panel preview gives a quick snapshot of up to six broadcast shows. The 32A60's built-in, 10-watt, front-firing speakers deliver MTS stereo sound, and audio-video connections allow you hook it up to a home theater or audio system. The 32A60 comes with a universal remote control with glow-in-the-dark keys. Toshiba provides a one-year warranty on parts (two years on the picture tube) and one year on labor for the 32A60.

Great TV May 24, 2004 I purchase mine at Best Buy when it was the top of the line 32 inch. I paid almost a $1,000 for it. I've had it for over 3 yrs now and I have not had a problem.I purhased a nice Pioneer receiver, Toshiba 5 disk DVD changer and a pair of JBL speakers. The sound is excellent. Most TV's speaker on their on are not the best anyway. I don't know anyone today who uses just the TV's speakers. But purchase a quality receiver and some nice surround sound speakers and you have once nice system. The picture quality is excellent. I will always purchase Toshiba TV's. They rank the best in my book.
Very Nice but... February 5, 2001 22 out of 22 found this review helpful
I have only owned this TV for a few hours but boy am I impressed. The picture is INCREDIBLE. (Somehow very important) I have not even messed with the different modes yet, as in sports/movie, warm/cool settings etc.. It,s Toshiba's top of the line 32" and it shows. The duel tuner, six pic PIP is VERY kewl. The remote is easy and functional. The ONLY reason I didn't score this a five star is it's sound. It sounds a little tinny and the surround sound doesn't do much at all. Mine is hooked up to my stereo though so it's audio deficiencies are nill. If quality video is you, this TV does it. I'm a picky shopper and shopped the net and feature for feature, price for price,I am very happy with my purchase. I hope this helps.
Excellent picture but--- January 23, 2001 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
At Best Buy I compared this set to 2 JVC's, 2 Sony's, and one other Toshiba--all sitting together--all on the same program. They were all VG--but the Toshiba's did have a slight edge in picture sharpness/clarity. HOWEVER--there are some negatives. 1)The simulated surround sound mode is terrible--tinney/echoey and somewhat distorted. I switched it off. 2)Lack of a variable audio output is a BIG BOOOOO. I must use a separate remote to control the volume of my receiver. 3)It does not have "sound leveling" even though the salesman assured me it did. 3)You cannot turn closed captioning off even though the owners booklet says you can--frustrating!! In spite of these complaints, I will keep it for 2 reasons: 1)GREAT picture. 2) Far too much hassle to re-box and return---but I did give that serious consideration. It's probably a case of "you get what you pay for"... Had I been able to determine these deficiences BEFORE I brought it home and set it up--I probably would have come up with a few more hundred dollars and gotten a set not lacking the features I mentioned and with a better sound system. ...
Quality Television November 14, 2000 25 out of 37 found this review helpful
Just received this television and I am impressed. The picture is wonderful (especially with DVD) and the audio is an improvement. Also, I like the PIP and the fact that the standard warranty is 1 year parts and labor, just in case there is a problem.
